The Orchestra Junior project also convinces the Lang Foundation

After winning the first prize in the category “Best students of schools affiliated with the Conservatory of Vicenza” in 2019, with the Orchestra Junior of the “Jan Novák” Music School of Vallagarina we have brought home another important result: Special Mention for the “measurability” of the project at the Philanthropy Awards 2020 of the Lang Italia Foundation.
The Foundation based in Milan, dedicated to the study and development of so-called “good practices” and to the evaluation of social impact, has also recognized the value of the orchestral training course that I started in September 2018 in collaboration with the teachers of the “Novák”.
The mention comes following participation in the “Call for papers” for musical learning and practice projects as an element of social development promoted by the Lang Study Center on Strategic Philanthropy with the patronage of the EY Italia Onlus Foundation.
The award ceremony should have taken place at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, with a concert by the winning companies, but in compliance with the current limitations, it was held online, on Monday 22 February, as part of the webinar “What challenges and opportunities await the third sector?”, Presented by the journalist of Corriere della Sera Elisabetta Soglio.
In the education of children I am applying a system that combines musical professionalism and scout methodology: the Junior is a real orchestra of small professionals, a community in which everyone has their own role, is aware of it and participates in the final result. The activity continues even in this difficult moment because the first objective remains to teach the harmony of being a citizen.
I can’t wait to return with these young musicians – who have already performed at the Sala della Filarmonica in Rovereto, at the Zandonai Theater and at the “Tartarotti” Civic Library, always showing great vigor and genius of the shows – to fun and discipline of the stage.
